"History; noun: a record or account of past events and developments."
"Some Pixies History. The Pixies were formed in Boston, Massachusetts when Charles Thompson and his room-mate Joey Santiago, both guitarists originally from Los Angeles, placed a newspaper ad seeking recruits to a "Husker Du/Peter, Paul & Mary band". The successful applicant was Kim Deal, a bassist, who brought along drummer David Lovering. Originally named the Pixies in Panoply, they had become simply the Pixies - and Charles Thompson was now Black Francis - when Ivo Watts-Russell of English record label 4AD saw them at the Rat Club in Boston opening for Throwing Muses. He made the wise decision to release their music."
"The Pixies made five albums in five years: 'Come On Pilgrim' (1987), 'Surfer Rosa' (1988), 'Doolittle' (1989), 'Bossanova' (1990) and 'Trompe Le Monde' (1991). None were any less than great, and at least two demonstrate as fact the assertion that the Pixies redefined rock music."
